Have you spent years building a solid first foundation of career and credentials?Does that success feel how you thought it would? It is a significant achievement, yet you now find yourself seeking a sense of balance that professional success alone cannot provide.Second Foundation offers a space to explore what comes next. By blending Stoic wisdom with positive psychology, I can help you navigate the transition from external achievement to internal depth. To build a life that feels as good as it looks, you need a second foundation. One of calm, self reflection, and ancient truths.

Philosophy

Success is a powerful foundation, but it is rarely a complete one. Many people spend the first half of their lives accumulating; credentials, capital, and influence. This 'First Foundation' is a significant achievement, yet there often comes a moment where these external markers no longer provide the internal stability they once promised.I can help you acknowledge what you have built while identifying what is still missing.

My approach is grounded in the intersection of Stoic discipline and modern psychology.I utilise the 'Dichotomy of Control' to filter out modern noise, allowing you to focus energy only where it yields a real return.By combining this ancient rigour with the insights of positive psychology, I move past surface-level 'hacks' to help you create a deep, immovable sense of clarity and purpose.

Digital Sovereignty

True balance requires a tactical retreat from the digital attention economy. Being intentional with how we integrate technology in our lives is an absolute need for human flourishing. The world is screaming for your attention, being intentional in how you direct yours is paramount to living a fulfilling life. That is why you won't find this or me on social media.
That is why this website is built with no tracking, no cookies, and no data harvesting.
By retiring the ego’s need for constant performance and digital validation, you can create the quiet necessary for fulfilment.

About

I spent a long time chasing the "bigger" version of success: larger shows, more prestigious titles, and the constant hum of high-stakes projects. I understood that world, I revelled in it. I know the drive it requires, but I also know the quiet cost of maintaining the ego that such a career often demands. I was outwardly successful but inwardly flat, frustrated, and unfulfilled.Four years ago, my path shifted. Choosing to go alcohol-free was the catalyst for a much wider reset of my priorities and my approach to life. I moved away from valuing external volume and toward valuing internal depth. Today, my metrics for success have changed; I prioritise serenity, the luxury of time, and the freedom to be present with my family in the outdoors. This transition was anchored by Stoic philosophy, the practice of distinguishing what I can control from what I cannot. The shelving of ego to focus on the important work and the capacity to greet life as it comes, not try to control it.To bring this balance to others, I am currently completing a Diploma in Coaching and Positive Psychology. I combine my professional experience with these proven frameworks to help people move past the noise of their "first foundation" and build something far more enduring.I am happier now than I thought I was capable of.I still have a successful career - it's a yes and situation, not an either or.
